Frederico OM was born in Lisbon, studied marketing at IADE and did a post graduation in branding at ESCS.
In 2018 he quitted his “money” job to assist the fashion photographer Rui Aguiar and after one year only he started doing editorials with young generations of queer minded people in a celebration of subculture.
He found out that one of his big interests was capturing the ambiguous side of fashion and he got to work with Principal; Levis; Béhen; Moche; MO; Máxima.
What interests him the most when shooting someone is the person he has in front of him, he tries to look beneath the idea of what the model is, and captures her/him as a person and what this person is feeling in the present moment, they can be sad, angry, or happy, what interests the most is their truth, the model isn’t a robot but a human, and that resonates with the viewer, the client or spectator.
What was the driver to start a photography career? Bad memory! Capturing forever the fragility of a moment, making it unforgettable.
